Great Online Resource: Ancestry.com

It’s so easy to get started with genealogy these days! If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about your family’s history, the Library offers access to one of the biggest genealogical databases – ancestry.com. Search census records, military records, birth/death/marriage records, immigration rolls, and more from the U.S. and countries around the world. Plus, they have a great help section that will give you the lowdown on using their site. One caveat: the database can only be accessed inside the Library.

Also, we’ve got a Genealogy Workshop each second Tuesday of the month at 10 AM, which will provide you with even more great tips and tricks for filling out your family tree!
